The Outer Circles is a multiracial/ multicultural/ multilingual/ multitalented instrumental group composed of musicians living in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex.  That diversity is reflected in our repertoire, which includes a variety of musical styles and genres, from Cool Jazz standards of the ‘50s to the Funky Jazz of the ‘80s and ‘90s.  We also play our versions of familiar R&B, Motown, Beatles, Blues, Reggae and Rock N’ Roll tunes, as well as New Orleans classics.  Plus, when we bring in a conga player to play with the band Latin Jazz, Bossa Novas and Salsas prevail. Depending upon the event we can provide musical groups in a number of different configurations, including: 1) solo piano, 2) piano & sax duo, 3) piano & bass duo, 4) trios, quartets - up to sextets.  Our largest ensemble would include piano, bass, percussion (congas), drums, sax and trumpet.  We have played at various venues in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex, including mixers at the Museums in Fort Worth’s Cultural District, local clubs and restaurants, local wineries, and private events.
