Shawn and John have been playing a variety of music in and around the Dallas/Fort Worth area together since 1997. Formerly from the critically acclaimed and locally legendary rock band Sleepdriver, they have continued in their current acoustic guitar duo format to entertain audiences of all persuasions at all types of venues, be they clubs, pubs, weddings, backyards, house, pool, neighborhood or private parties, festivals and even street corners. Not your typical acoustic guitars and vocals duo, Shawn and John are always at an attempt to play a variety of rock, pop, blues, country and oldies music with lots of groove and jamming thrown in there. There is more than mere strumming here. I mean these guys don't even sit down on stools or anything. One minute you might be hearing a CSN&Y, Eagles, Dave Matthews or James Taylor sound, the next minute you may find yourself in the middle of a Stevie Ray Vaughan, Beatles, Johnny Cash or Tom Petty medley. If things get wound up, the distinction between acoustic and electric guitar sounds goes out the window and tunes from Steve Miller, Lynrd Skynrd, Peter Frampton, Ted Nugent, ZZ Top or Allman Brothers music may be coming at you. Then again you might just rather hear some country or dance type tunes.
